Most people associate Forte dei Marmi with beach clubs, villas, and long summer lunches.
What they often don’t realize is how much there is to explore beyond Forte itself.
This morning I took a train and less than an hour later I was having breakfast overlooking the sea in Cinque Terre.
A stroll though the local boutiques, a swim in Monterosso, lunch in one of the local restaurants, an afternoon stroll through Vernazza, and some of the best gelato I’ve had all summer.
One of the things I love most about living and working in Versilia is that destinations like Cinque Terre, Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and the marble mountains are all within easy reach.
